Organizations with the best Artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities are poised to deliver better customer outcomes, maximize revenue opportunities, and leave the competition behind. AI-driven insights can help companies achieve many business objectives such as improving customer loyalty, delivering effective training, reducing the impact of outages or providing better healthcare to patients. Applications are aplenty.
Hitachi Vantara is introducing an integrated AI-driven platform that accelerates advanced analytics, machine learning and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads at scale and powers a broad ecosystem of applications. Unified Compute Platform (UCP) solutions that use the NVIDIA-certified Hitachi Advanced Server DS220 G2 computing server platform with NVIDIA A100 and A30 Tensor Core GPUs provide significantly high performance and can be partitioned into up to seven GPU instances for multiple users and to adjust to changing demands.
The new platform is certified by NVIDIA to run the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite with VMware vSphere with Tanzu, allowing customers to fast-track containerized deployment of AI technologies in their virtualized data centers. NVIDIA AI Enterprise is an end-to-end software suite of AI tools and frameworks used for development and deployment of AI. It is optimized, certified and supported by NVIDIA to enable customers to run AI workloads on mainstream servers in the modern enterprise datacenter.
Advanced Analytics for Flexible Hybrid Cloud
The new solution extends the scale, flexibility and simplicity of Hitachi Vantara’s hybrid solutions for advanced analytics such as AI, ML, D and DS. Hitachi’s Unified Compute Platform family of converged and hyperconverged solutions powered by VMware Tanzu Kubernetes services enable scale-out performance and compatibility for a vast set of virtualized or containerized, accelerated CUDA applications, AI frameworks, models and SDKs.
Supporting VMware Tanzu and NVIDIA AI Enterprise on its platform, Hitachi further enables AI researchers, data scientists and application developers to deliver the promise of AI projects, while allowing IT operations teams to manage new AI projects with familiar tools. The platform enables virtualized workloads to run at near-bare-metal performance to delivers on manageability, and efficiency. AI, ML, DL and DS workloads can now scale across multiple nodes, allowing advanced analytics workloads to run efficiently on Hitachi Vantara’s converged and hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions.
Magnum IO GPUDirect Storage for Application Acceleration
Hitachi Content Software for File (HCSF) is now a certified NVIDIA Magnum IO GPUDirect Storage solution. It delivers high performance for latency-sensitive applications and improves server consolidation efficiency. The new capability allows GPUs to directly access I/O off the Content Software for File pool without burdening the CPU memory, thus improving performance and saving CPU resources for other applications.
The newly announced AI-powered UCP platform will deliver a high-performance backbone for AI and machine learning (ML) workloads, and simplify management while increasing operational efficiency.
