Hitachi Vantara launched our Global Innovation Services group several years ago to apply hyperautomation toolchains to dismantle siloed operations, unlock organizational data, enhance efficiencies and modernize legacy data centers. This initiative led to advanced observability, monitoring and reporting for all managed resources. As well as to the evolution of our intelligent automation solutions from point solutions into comprehensive end-to-end process automation, eliminating manual tasks and freeing up valuable resources for higher-value work.
Adapting to Market Shifts
While that was just a few years ago, the market has continued to shift significantly, reflecting the rapid evolution of technology and changing business needs.
Initially, our clients focused primarily on traditional data center modernization, aiming to update and optimize their existing on-premises infrastructure. However, as the landscape evolved, so did their challenges.
Today, clients are grappling with the complexities of managing hybrid environments with segmentation between traditional CSP cloud and on-prem environments. Rising cloud costs have made it financially prudent for many organizations to repatriate workloads from public cloud providers back to their on-premises data centers. This move is often further influenced by stringent government and industry regulatory requirements, which necessitate greater control over data and infrastructure.
As many clients transition away from the “cloud first” strategy to this “hybrid workload” strategy the complexity comes in synchronizing management of the full hybrid landscape.
Hybrid Cloud Visibility and Automation Calls
Moreover, the hybrid cloud model has become increasingly prevalent, blending the benefits of both on-prem and cloud environments. This, however, introduces new challenges, particularly in terms of visibility and automation. Clients now require advanced tools to gain comprehensive insights into their hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring they can monitor and manage resources effectively across diverse environments.
The need for advanced visibility is paramount. Clients seek solutions that provide real-time, actionable insights into the performance and health of their entire IT estate, whether on-premises, in the cloud or across a hybrid setup. This visibility is crucial for proactive management, enabling organizations to identify and address issues before they impact operations.
Intelligent automation has also become a critical requirement. As IT environments grow more complex, manual management becomes increasingly impractical. Clients are looking for intelligent automation solutions that can streamline operations, reduce the burden of routine tasks, and free up valuable resources for strategic initiatives. Automation across the hybrid cloud landscape helps in maintaining consistency, improving efficiency and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
In response to these evolving needs, Hitachi Vantara created EverFlex Control, a heterogeneous infrastructure management application for the EverFlex infrastructure as a service (IaaS) portfolio to address the full spectrum of hybrid cloud management.
By integrating advanced observability, cost management and intelligent automation, EverFlex Control empowers our clients to navigate the complexities of the modern IT landscape with confidence and agility.
