Achieve Game Changing Command Over Hybrid Cloud with Hitachi EverFlex Control

Imagine you're an IT administrator managing sprawling hybrid cloud workloads and infrastructure with multiple service catalogs, each requiring meticulous attention to detail and manual analytic and administrative effort. Your team is constantly juggling between different tools, struggling with infrastructure observability and management productivity, facing challenges optimizing costs and gaining actionable insights. The complexity of managing and optimizing the value of such an environment can be overwhelming, leading to inefficiencies, increased or unexpected expenses, and the potential of costly downtime.

Last fall, Hitachi Vantara launched our opening salvo to rise to this challenge, leveraging the power of hyperautomation in the form of Hitachi EverFlex Control, our comprehensive new SaaS-based infrastructure orchestration management framework. Designed to serve at the heart of our overall EverFlex IaaS offering, this powerful new IT operations management portal provides a combination of services management, extensive integration, advanced observability, process automation, real-time insights and intelligent alerting. Enabling IT and operations teams to dynamically scale and manage their infrastructure resources with ease.

Reception from customers and partners, as part of our overall EverFlex IaaS launch, was strong. “Its flexibility allows for seamless integration with our entire product portfolio and OEM solutions,” said Michael Staude, Head of IT Procurement at German insurance provider HUK-COBURG VVaG. “This comprehensive approach has significantly enhanced our operational agility and financial control.”

And we were just getting started.

A New Level of Simplicity with EverFlex Control

The beauty of SaaS is that the boundaries of innovation can quickly evolve to meet the scale of your needs and imagination. And the latest release of EverFlex Control puts that into perspective in ideal fashion.

Designed to address the evolving needs of the evolving hybrid cloud enterprise, the latest release adds a host of new capabilities and enhancements to streamline operations, integrate advanced tools and provide deeper insights into the performance and health of hybrid cloud infrastructure.  It’s a significant milestone that transforms EverFlex Control into a more robust, flexible and integrated solution than ever, helping you manage your infrastructure more effectively, optimize costs and gain the insights you need to drive better outcomes.

This release focuses on three main themes; enhanced service catalogs and operational tools, advanced integration and unified access, and improved reporting, cost management and a new solutions showcase. Here's how they come together to add incremental value:

Enhanced Service Catalogs and Operational Tools

The latest update to EverFlex Control adds substantial improvements to the service catalogs and provides users with more powerful, flexible options for managing their infrastructure.

  • VM Service Catalog (Automator and Ansible): User interface enhancements – including added tooltips and updated review forms – improve user interaction and make VM management more intuitive.
  • Containers as a Service (CaaS) Visual Suite: Integration of the CaaS Visual Suite provides advanced container observability, with dashboards providing insights into Kubernetes clusters, nodes and resource-intensive pods. This helps users maintain cluster stability and security, ensuring smooth operations.
  • SRE Dashboards & Self-Heal V2.0: New dashboards for observability, devices, containers and storage, along with enhanced self-heal capabilities, enable users to proactively manage their infrastructure. Detailed performance management and reporting features help identify and resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime and improving system reliability.

Advanced Integration and Unified Access

Improvements ensure seamless integration with third-party tools and enhanced single sign-on (SSO) capabilities, ensuring a unified and efficient experience.

  • CloudBolt Integration with EverFlex and SSO: New navigation tiles and streamlined login processes enhance cloud management accessibility and security, providing a seamless UX.
  • OpsCenter & OpsCenter Analyzer Integration: Integration of Hitachi OpsCenter tools into EverFlex Control provides users with comprehensive operational insights and management capabilities.

Improved Reporting, Cost Management and Solution Showcase

Enhancements to reporting and dashboard functionalities offer users more detailed insights and superior visualization capabilities.

  • Cost Management Base Suite: New dashboards provide detailed insights into cloud resource usage and cost allocation, helping users manage budgets more effectively and optimize their cloud spending.
  • HBE Reports V2.0 and HII Reports: Improved visual reports for the Hitachi Billing Engine (HBE) enables more flexible capacity usage and Hitachi Infrastructure Intelligence (HII) infrastructure observability reports provide users with clearer and more actionable insights.
  • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) V2.0 Tool Enhancements: Continued improvements in the TCO tool include better workflow, additional tooltips and enhanced currency and rate option ensure clearer communication, helping users make informed financial decisions.
  • Site Templates V2.0: This customization ensures users have access to the tools and information they need, tailored to their specific roles and requirements.
  • Solution Showcase: The addition of a solution showcase tab on the EverFlex Control homepage to showcase available solutions in a card view format. Each card includes detailed content such as text, images and videos, providing users with a comprehensive overview of available options.
