Eight years ago, the Hitachi Center of Excellence (CoE) was just a seed of an idea with only two people at the helm. Fast forward to today and we are 40 people strong with five different divisions supporting thousands of customers a year across the globe.

The Hitachi CoE acts as the crystal ball our customers and partners always wished they had. No more second guessing, or leaps of faith; we know miss-steps can’t be afforded when it comes to critical IT infrastructure. When you work with the CoE, you can see the possible paths and outcomes of any IT decision and even find the fix to pre-existing challenges

1. Discovery: Uncover opportunities to cut risk, save energy, and more with a 360-degree view of your environment that quickly identifies concerns like opportunities for upgrade or efficiency. Discovery offers valuable analysis into your infrastructure and data landscape with data-driven insights; for example, enabling you to understand if you’re at risk of running out of capacity based on your current build; or if you have wasted resource that could be better used elsewhere.
2. Experience: Through custom built solutions and proof of concept experiences, we can show you what our solution can do through immersive, hands-on product demonstrations so that you can understand exactly how the proposed solution will integrate with your infrastructure. We also have physical Experience centers where you can come to test and play with the technology for yourself. The demonstrations are completely tailored to your area of focus—from the solution’s business outcome through to usability at an engineering level.
3. Lab: With CoE Lab services, we can create a complete replica of your environment down to the network and switching layer. Our Lab centralizes our services onto a unified platform for seamless collaboration via a web portal. If you have specific use cases you’d like to test, we can provide an environment to showcase and validate technical and business outcomes. This allows users an ability to have hands on or remote access to the requested solution. With our Lab services, you’ll always have a supporting hand guiding you to an optimal solution for your business
4. Enablement: This team hosts large conference events and technical webinars where we further showcase and educate on our solutions. This stage is critical for sharing best practices about our technology and current industry trends. With expert-led custom webinars, we can guide you through all the challenges that a modern datacenter face today. We can scale up problems to find long term solutions and look at other influencing factors.
5. Data: The data services team is partner focused, providing styled content and analytics for technical enquiries for RFP and sustainability support in addition to product roadmap visibility to provide a clear view of the road ahead.

Always innovating  

On a quarterly basis, our Innovation Center team come together to find ways of solving new challenges and real-world scenarios. For example, the recent cyber-attack on Caesars Entertainment which saw the theft of personal data. We can demonstrate to customers how our technology would guard against an attack like that by testing it ourselves.

Lean and green

Sustainability is at the forefront of our mission. Our European distribution center is leading the way as an entirely carbon-neutral facility, using solar energy and recycled rainwater. With our corporate ESG goals, we aim to have all our facilities carbon neutral by 2030. Furthermore, all our demonstrations, proofs of concept (POCs), and services are powered by green energy, ensuring that every step of our engagement with customers aligns with our dedication to sustainability.
