The team
The Hitachi Digital Go-To-Market (GTM) function is a newly formed and dynamic team, responsible for driving innovation through ‘One Hitachi’ opportunities, that combine Hitachi’s industrial domain expertise in operational technology (OT) with cutting-edge AI technologies.

The role
You will play a central and connective role in the team with accountability for driving concurrent project streams and owning program activities for the wide-ranging GTM function opportunities. With an execution focus, you will be responsible for coordinating timelines, capturing dependencies, contingency planning and reporting on / communicating progress to drive decision-making at an executive level.
With a focus on best practice, you will leverage the right processes and systems and ensure projects under the PMO follow a consistent methodology and invest in your knowledge of the latest program management trends, relevant certifications and governance structures.
Responsibilities
- As a central contributor to the One Hitachi Program Management Office (PMO), enabling the GTM function to achieve its deliverables in partnership with Hitachi partner resources and customers
- Work with functional executives, across Hitachi Digital and its sister companies, such as Hitachi Digital Services, GlobalLogic, Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi Energy and Hitachi Rail to gain alignment on strategy and execution
- Comfortable working in a team with a diverse array of talents and engaging with Solutions Architects, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Developers and Sales people, both internally and externally, and across the globe, with an appreciation for cultural differences
- Drive appropriate governance and cadence to effectively manage program activities and ensure resources are appropriately assigned to projects to maximize outcomes
- Producing accurate and timely reporting of project/program status and risks throughout the full lifecycle and to a variety of audiences
What you’ll bring
- Experience managing projects/programs with a solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
- Previous experience working in the digital / high-tech space and, ideally, also with industry; with the ability to understand the language and terminology of key partners in energy and/or rail
- Skilled at working cross functionally and engaging with stakeholders internationally, ideally with previous experience of both European and US working
- Able to see the bigger picture, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills and a proactive and confident approach to gathering input from a variety of parties
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is:
Tier One location (including New York City and California Bay area) $155,400 - $222,000
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
