Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our CTO office team. The job is part of a skilled Technology Strategy leadership team that will analyse and support the CTO in driving the strategic direction of the company's technology initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the technology landscape, the ability to analyse trends, and the skills to contribute to the development of long-term technology strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage solution metadata structures, RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access), and log-structured file systems. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing storage systems and solutions that are critical to our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software systems with a focus on metadata management, ensuring efficient categorization and retrieval of data.
  • Develop and optimize RDMA-enabled applications to improve data transfer speeds and system performance.
  • Work with or transform existing solutions to flash-friendly IO stacks to enhance data integrity, recovery, and storage efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with other systems and applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, write comprehensive documentation, and maintain software functionality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in storage systems and metadata management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on metadata structures, RDMA, and log-structured file systems and performance NUMA aware memory schedulers
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Python
  • Familiarity with storage systems, distributed computing, and high-performance architectures.
  • Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Metadata Query Engines (MQE), DBs, and indexing/searching objects based on system and custom metadata.
  • Knowledge of data migration policies and command-line interfaces for managing file systems.
  • Understanding of metadata limitations and system resource management.
  • Familiarity with data protection, security compliance, and intelligent data management in multi-cloud environments
