The role:
- Configure and maintain Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Optimize tool usage to improve project management and collaboration.
- Provide training and support to users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Atlassian tools.
- Implement best practices for tool usage.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain documentation for tool configurations and processes.
- Monitor tool performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Manage user permissions and access controls.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with other software and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates for Atlassian products.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the planning and execution of tool upgrades and migrations.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless tool usage.
- Provide recommendations for tool improvements and enhancements.
- Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket build and configure
- Provide application support for JIRA and Confluence to IT the rest of the business
- Understanding of JIRA APIs and webhooks. Support JIRA and Confluence users
- Work with business users to evaluate JIRA and Confluence plug-ins, determine licensing needs, and perform testing, installation and configuration of the plug-ins
- Utilizes design skills to define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects
- Support and configure JIRA plugins as required
- Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support runbooks
- Create JIRA projects, queries and reports as required
- Coordinate with primary JIRA Administrator to plan, schedule, implement, and communicate JIRA & plug-in upgrades in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Work independently with stakeholders and clients to design and deliver JIRA workflows to meet the stated and unstated business requirements
- Analyse current JIRA configurations and migrate to new instances
What you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- 12+ years’ experience in ITSM tool management
- Strong understanding of project management and software development processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with integrating Atlassian tools with other software and systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Atlassian products is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in Atlassian tools are a plus. Experience with database management and SQL is a plus.
- Ability to create complex JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes.
- Work with stakeholders on customizing JIRA workflow.
- Plan, evaluate, deploy, operate and maintain tools to suit the expanding user-base.
