The role
The IT Infrastructure Engineer Support will be responsible for the management, troubleshooting, and resolution of infrastructure issues, ensuring business continuity for the organization's IT systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in any of the technologies like Linux and Windows administration, VMware management, storage systems, and backup solutions. They will be responsible for maintaining uptime, addressing priority incidents (P1,P2,P3 and P4), and ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
What you’ll bring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve critical system and infrastructure issues.
- Perform day-to-day management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Linux and Windows servers.
- Handle server patching, updates, performance tuning, and security configurations
- Ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and high availability of critical systems.
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot VMware infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
- Conduct regular health checks, capacity planning, and resource optimization within the virtual environment.
- Monitor storage capacity, performance, and ensure the integrity of data storage
- Troubleshoot virtual machine performance issues and manage snapshots.
- Monitor daily backup jobs, troubleshoot failed backups, and perform restores, as necessary.
- Monitor infrastructure systems, addressing alerts related to system performance, availability, and resource usage.
- Proactively identify potential issues and apply fixes to prevent critical incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and patch management across the Linux, Windows, and virtual environments.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and incidents.
