Employee Story
My Role
Currently, I’m the technical lead for my organization’s hybrid cloud project. So my daily routine involves coordinating hardware and engineers for next set of tests, reviewing test results, peer-editing reference architectures or PowerPoints, updating stakeholders with current progress and results, and helping the team overcome technical issues.
In addition, I’m usually working on a customer-facing Proof of Concept or Go-To-Market product launch project. On these projects, my time is split between setting up the test bed, executing the tests, analysing the results, and writing the whitepapers or PowerPoints (or presenting the results to the customer in the case of a PoC).
“I appreciate the diversity of the people at Hitachi Vantara. Even in my small, immediate team, an assorted array of expertise, age, gender, culture, and location is represented.”

My Hitachi Journey
In the 12 years since I became a full-time employee at Hitachi Vantara, I have never had a dull quarter. Hitachi Vantara supports my career development and I'm fortunate to have the same manager that always challenges me to be better. I have had opportunities such as being the technical lead for my organization’s hybrid cloud project, leading the replication team in the last two enterprise infrastructure product launches, executing complex and highly visible customer-facing proofs of concept, coaching interns and training junior team members, traveling domestically and internationally to be a technical expert at technical tradeshows (and also participated as an attendee), and taking classes as needed to improve my soft skills and technical skills.
One aspect that I particularly appreciate is the diversity of the people that I work with at Hitachi Vantara. Even in my small, immediate team, an assorted array of expertise, age, gender, culture, and location is represented. One can’t help but feel that we are a global company.
