The Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) program was established by Minn. Stat. § 16C.03, subd. 10, which authorizes the commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Administration (Commissioner of Administration) through its Materials Management Division (MMD) to enter into a cooperative purchasing agreement for the provision of goods, services, and utilities" with one or more governmental units and other entities as described in Minn. Stat. § 471.59, subd. 1 and Minn. Stat. § 16C.03, subd. 10.

The term "governmental unit" as used in this section includes every city, county, town, school district, independent nonprofit firefighting corporation, other political subdivision of this or another state, another state, federally recognized Indian tribe, the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Historical Society, nonprofit hospitals licensed under sections 144.50 to 144.56, rehabilitation facilities and extended employment providers that are certified by the commissioner of employment and economic development, day and supported employment services licensed under chapter 245D, and any agency of the state of Minnesota or the United States, and includes any instrumentality of a governmental unit.

All Purchase Orders issued by Purchasing Entities within the jurisdiction of this Contract must include Master Price Agreement Number MNWMC-113, and State of Minnesota Contract Number 105429. The dollar limits of $500,000 for Servers and $500,000 for storage are per configuration. This is not a restriction on the purchase of multiple configurations.
